Business and Tax Deadlines Approaching , some are extended due to weather
We’re here! Just 5 days left until the Partnership (1065) and S-Corp (1120-S) deadlines for calendar-year companies. Hopefully, you submitted your documents by our internal deadline of July 15th
, in which case, you likely already have your completed returns. If you submitted after that, rush fees will apply—assuming we can still meet the deadline. These fees are meant to incentivize clients to submit documents earlier. After all, you want us at our best, which is why we carefully schedule our workload. Expect even more proactive scheduling in 2025 for the 2024 filings.
That said, we know our Texas clients have faced adverse weather conditions this year, from Hurricane Beryl affecting Houston to tornadoes in North Texas. The IRS has granted filing relief for those affected. If you live in a county impacted by Hurricane Beryl, you have until February 3, 2025, to file your tax returns. You can find more information here: IRS announcement for Hurricane Beryl relief.
If you're in North Texas, your deadline may be extended to November 1, 2024, depending on your location. Check here for details: IRS announcement for North Texas relief.
For everyone else, it's business as usual. Remember, not only are 1065 and 1120-S returns due Monday, September 16th, but personal (1040) and corporate (1120) returns are also due Tuesday, October 15th this year.
If you dont have your docs in , we cant promise we will make it but you can upload your documents here - https://app.financial-cents.com/cp/porter-company-cpas

Earn $500 with Ramp—No Strings Attached! Take Charge of Employee Spending and
I’m not kidding—$500 is yours, no questions asked, when you sign up for Ramp.com through me! So, what’s Ramp? It’s a corporate spend management platform that helps businesses control expenses with tools like virtual and physical cards, automated receipt collection, and detailed financial insights—all while keeping your budget on track.
As Porter & Company has grown (we’re now 15 people strong!), I needed a better way to manage employee spending. Handing out debit or Amex cards gave us some control, but Ramp takes it to a whole new level. Need to give a one-time card for donuts? Done. Want to issue a virtual card for a software trial? Easy. Plus, with Ramp, receipt management is a breeze, which means no IRS headaches for anything over $75. And the best part? It integrates perfectly with our existing bank, Chase!
If your business has employees who need spending access, Ramp lets you issue physical or virtual cards, control spending limits, and even restrict where they can spend. Oh, and did I mention? It’s free! If you’re interested, email me and I’ll get you set up with a $500 bonus and a demo with the Ramp team.
