Every month you wait, the gap between you and competitors who are experimenting gets wider.

The Real Cost of Waiting on AI

I've been talking with a lot of people about AI. Business owners. Clients. Staff. Family. My wife Heather is like, "I don't care that Claude can analyze Paige's volleyball strength of schedule and pick her new team based on personality traits of the teammates. Let's just watch Apex on Netflix because the new viral with Charlize Theron running from a psychotic killer with The Chemical Brothers song 'Go' is everywhere and it's fire." If you have no idea what I'm even talking about, check this out because I am obessed with this too: https://youtube.com/shorts/1Rv_oFYNbbs?si=TzCrmblYT8jTacNh

She's not wrong. Most people don't care about the potential. They want to watch Netflix.

But here's the thing. Some are all in. Some think it's bullshit. Most are somewhere in the middle, not sure if it's real or just the flavor of the month. Here's what I know after spending months working with it: it's real. And if you're not thinking about it now, you're already behind.

The business owners winning right now aren't automating everything tomorrow. They're experimenting thoughtfully. I talked with several who are using AI to handle the repetitive stuff, organize information, give their teams answers faster. One owner was spending 15 hours a week on tasks that an AI tool now handles in minutes. That's not replacing people. That's freeing people to do work that actually matters. The firm that figures this out first will lap the competition.

But here's the catch: you can't just bolt AI on top of chaos. You need clean data. Clear processes. A willingness to experiment and iterate. It's hard. It requires thinking differently about how you work. But the businesses that do this? They're faster, smarter, more profitable. And every month the gap between them and everyone else gets wider. This isn't optional anymore. It's competitive reality.

This has nothing to do with the article other than I’m low key obessed with the viral scene , movie aint bad either !
